The Board of Governors is the highest governing body of the GCC BDI. The board consists of nine representatives from the founding companies. Each governor nominates an alternate. The main role of the board is to set and guide the mission and the strategy of GCC BDI, determining its policies and monitoring their implementation. It is also responsible for ensuring that procedures and processes are in place for the protection of the company’s assets and reputation and that all relevant legislation, regulations and best international practices are complied with.
