Susan Daniel

Susan Daniel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aquilae Consulting Limited LLC FZ, a firm established to enhance risk management practices and create tangible business value for organisations across the Middle East.

With over 36 years of professional experience in the UK, Oman, and the UAE, Susan has held several senior leadership roles, including Chief Risk Officer at ADQ and Chief Risk and Assurance Officer at the Oman Investment Authority (OIA). Her expertise spans establishing and managing governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions, particularly within sovereign wealth funds and M&A contexts.

Before joining OIA, Susan was an Advisory Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading major projects for government and private sector clients across the GCC.

A Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) since 1994 and a Board Member of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), Susan specialises in risk management and resilience, governance, internal audit, and risk-based strategy development across industries such as oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and sovereign wealth funds.
