Mutlaq Hamad Al-Morished is one of Saudi Arabia’s most distinguished business leaders, bringing more than four decades of executive and board-level experience across the industrial, petrochemical, metals, financial services, and investment sectors. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of TASNEE from 2015 to 2024, leading one of the Kingdom’s largest industrial and petrochemical companies through a period of strategic growth and transformation. Prior to TASNEE, he held several senior leadership positions at SABIC, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Shared Services, and President of the Metals Group.

Earlier in his career, he served as President of HADEED and SADAF, following a progression through engineering, operations, planning, and economics roles that began with Shell in the United States and continued at SADAF. Al-Morished combines strong technical expertise with strategic business acumen, holding an MBA from Stanford University, an MSc in Nuclear Engineering from Princeton University, and a BSc in Nuclear Physics and Mathematics from the University of Denver. Beyond his executive career, he has contributed extensively at the board level, currently serving as Chairman of Citigroup Saudi Arabia and a board member of Bank Audi. His previous chairmanships and directorships have included leading regional and international organisations such as YANSAB, Saudi Kayan, Alinma Investment, Alinma Bank, Gulf Bank, Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), GARMCO, TRONOX, and several SABIC-affiliated companies.

He has also served on key national and regional advisory bodies, including the Advisory Board for Economic Affairs of the Supreme Economic Council of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA). Widely respected for his leadership, financial expertise, governance experience, and strategic vision, Al-Morished has played a significant role in advancing the growth and competitiveness of Saudi Arabia’s industrial and financial sectors.
