Samer Solh

JOINT VICE CHAIR

Samer Solh is an institutional investment and strategic finance professional with over two decades of experience leading and managing investment platforms in global financial centers. He joined Bahamdan Group as Chief Investment Officer in June 2021 to oversee the Group’s investment strategy and operations globally.
 
Samer started his career at Citigroup in New York as an Associate in investment banking focused on capital structuring solutions and emerging markets. He moved to institutional buyside roles first as Vice President of the Chief Investment Office at Citi Alternative Investments and was then promoted to Portfolio Manager and Senior Transactor in the Global Special Situations Group covering proprietary investments in private credit, equity, and distressed opportunities.  
 
He was appointed as Managing Director at Shuaa Capital, a pre-eminent Dubai-based regional investment firm where he institutionalized a key alternative asset management affiliate. He was then mandated and further promoted by its board to create a newly established corporate credit advisory and investment platform at the Dubai International Financial Centre. 
 
Prior to joining the Bahamdan Group, Samer headed Infrastructure Investments at Al Muhaidib Group, a top diversified Saudi investment firm, where he oversaw a multi-billion-dollar portfolio covering renewable power, district energy, water infrastructure and logistics. 
 
Samer holds or has held board directorships and committee appointments since 2016. Currently he serves as director of Sara Trade Holding Co and Al Khabeer Capital, and as Audit Committee member of Health Water Bottling Co (Nova Water). He previously served on the Executive & Investment Committee and Audit & Risk Committee of Vision Invest, the leading Saudi infrastructure developer and holding company; director of Miahona Co and Eastern Gateway Logistics Co, among others.
