Would you like to learn the foundations and building blocks of board effectiveness? Would you like to gain insights into best practices of corporate governance? Then this workshop is for you!
The Foundations of Directorship workshop is specifically designed to cover a broad range of topics all centered on the main theme of board effectiveness – how individual directors play their roles and directors’ key roles and responsibilities.
The different modules of this workshop explore the fundamentals of being a board director - looking into the main governance players and structures, the roles and accountability of a board director, strategy, risk, the development of human capital, stakeholder relations and performance management.
This workshop is rich in discussion, group activities, debate, and the sharing of real-life experiences.
The workshop addresses two primary objectives:
- To build board member effectiveness and capabilities through the sharing of best practices and experiences; and
- To create a regional network of board members by providing opportunities to network
