The Foundations of Directorship is a 2-day workshop which deals with contemporary issues and challenges that typically face GCC boards today. Through discussions and pragmatic experience-sharing, facilitators and participants explore and analyse potential solutions, tools and effective practices.

- The workshop addresses two of the primary objectives of the GCC Board Director Institute:
- To help build board member effectiveness and capabilities through the sharing of best practices and experiences;
- To create a regional network of board members by providing venues and opportunities to network between regional board members, professional advisors and senior executives.

This interactive workshop is built around the six pillars of Board Effectiveness.
1. Board composition and directors’ capabilities
2. Director duties and responsibilities
3. Board structure, processes and protocols
4. Delivery on roles of the board
5. Effective board dynamics
6. Board review and renewal
